The Skream (Magnetic Man) produced single is from her still in the works sixth album, and it takes you on a trip back to 90s garage, she mentions in a recent interview that the new album is inspired by 90s dance music.
While you wait for the new album, make sure you check out her most recent release ‘Flesh Tone‘. For me it was one of the best albums of 2010.
I just wish people really understood how much Kelis has contributed to pop and R&B music since her debut ‘Kaleidoscope‘. Every ‘edgy’ female singer you see on your TV has a bit of Kelis in her, only difference is Kelis manages to stay in her own lane while the rest blend into each other.
